Dealing With Guilt

"Dealing With Guilt"

Mt. Pleasant, all of us have sinned.  Sometimes our sins result from our own stubborn rebellion against God's commandments.  Sometimes, we are swept up in events that are beyond our abilities to control.  Under either set of circumstances, we may experience intense feelings of guilt.  However, God has an answer for the guilt that we feel.  My beloved, that answer, of course, is his forgiveness.  When we confess our wrongdoings and repent from them, we are forgiven by the one who created us.

Mt. Pleasant, are you troubled by feelings of guilt or regret?  If so, you must repent from your misdeeds, and you must ask your Heavenly Father for His forgiveness.  When you do so, He will forgive you completely and without reservation.  Next, you must forgive yourself just as God has forgiven you:  thoroughly and unconditionally.

My beloved, do not be bound by your guilt or your fears any longer, but realize that sin's penalty has already been paid by Christ completely and fully.  Romans 8:1, states that there is therefore now no comdemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
