Our Goals

Goal #1:  Prepare and conduct true worship services

Objectives:
 

  • Begin each worship service with praise, worship and devotional prayer
  • Encourage singing of the “Old 100’s” hymns while including contemporary worship songs
  • Encourage corporate prayers through Alter Call and phone calls to the sick & shut in
  • Biblically based sermons with modern life application
  • Monthly communion
  • Youth and Young Adult Sunday School Class Development


Goal #2:  Musical enhancement of worship service

Objectives:
 

  • Increase congregational participation
  • Encourage, enable and utilize the talents and gifts of those within the community
  • Actively seek, involve and promote special guest musical talent and opportunities from outside resources
  • Create and promote a mass choir


Goal #3:  Encourage Lay Ministry and Lay Involvement

Objectives:
 

  • Regularly involve Lay Ministry and Laity in devotional leading
  • Utilize Deacons, Deaconess, Trustees, Missionaries, Lay, and Ushers
  • Maintain a Monthly Lay Stewardship Speaker
  • Encourage and promote community outreach and evangelism thru Micro-Missions (i.e. Sidewalk Sunday School; Prison Ministry Support; Vacation Bible School)
  • Provide opportunities for Outreach Ministries:
    • Newcomers welcome packages/letter and telephone follow-up
    • New Members Orientation/Classes

 
Goal #4:  Facilitate Fellowship Resulting in Increased Sense of Community & Belonging

Objectives:
 

  • Promote Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting & Bible Study
  • Support Local & Worldwide Ministries with Our Prayers & Finances
  • Form a Church Prayer Warrior Team
  • Create and promote an Annual Back to School Celebration
  • Create and promote Quarterly Leadership (Business) Meetings


Goal #5:  Create a Church Information Center

Objectives:
 

  • Create and promote the twelve (12) month church calendar
  • Create and promote a church website
  • Create and promote a media audio/video/creative arts department for the church
  • Pursue and develop the use of computer, Power Point Projector and screens in regular praise and worship service
